(500) Days of Summer...she had wanted to see it and I felt like it was her turn to pick a movie...we actually narrowed it down to The Hurt Locker and this one but I felt like she deserved to see a chick flick since she had gone with me to the Iowa game earlier in the day. It was a decent movie...I kind of liked the non-linear storytelling...if you fellas have to watch a romantic comedy you could do a lot worse. I chuckled a few times and the fact that it didn't follow the formulaic "boys meets girl, etc." approach was refreshing.

I will play the basektball game card...instead of sitting in my nosebleed seats in 306, I got to sit in her parent's seats (the same dad who hands out Macallan 15 likes its going out of style) which were three rows behind Iowa's bench. (500) Days of Summer was a small price to pay in return, especially if it means I get to pick the next 7-10 movies we watch.

Unless it's a problem that I had a white wine spritzer with the movie...
