Avatar- IMAX 3D. It's quite the journey. I was expecting it to feel longer, but it moves along. Not the best movie of all time, but worth seeing for the experience. Alice in Wonderland looks like it would be worth seeing in the same kind of theatre too.

Yup. I watched Uncle Buck this morning with my daughters. He was one of a kind.

"I'm Buck Melanoma. Moley Russell's wart. Not her wart. Not her wart! I'm... I'm the wart. She's my tumor. My... my growth. My... uh, my pimple. I'm Uncle Wart. Just old Buck 'Wart' Russell. That's what they call me, or Melanoma Head. They'll call me that. Melanoma Head's coming. I'm s... uncle! Maisy Russell's uncle!"

I miss the hell out of John Candy too.

My only question about that movie was how the fuck did The Edge qualify to be part of it. He doesn't even play guitar as far as I'm concerned. I was wondering how Jack and Jimmy would feel about the fact that everything he does is through an effects box, but he pretty much just came out and said it anyway.

One of the points of the documentary was to get three blues based rock and roll guitarists together with different approaches. It delves into each musicians history and approach.

With Page you get a man who plays by feel. With the Edge you get a man who wants to use technology to make the "perfect" sound for each song.

With Jack White you get someone who wants to struggle to make great music.
