John Dillinger was cocky, flashy, charming, dashing, loud, bold ... in other words, everything that Johnny Depp isn't. Totally miscast, and the movie suffered greatly for it. The numerous historical inaccuracies also didn't help.

Yep. The other characters were similarly lifeless. Every one of his gangster buddies came off as a stereotypical, generic 1920's gangster. It was impossible to differentiate between the interesting personalities of the time period.

This on IFC.

Larry: Is he a good fuck?
Anna: Don't do this.
Larry: Just answer the question! Is he good?
Anna: Yes.
Larry: Better than me?
Anna: Different.
Larry: Better?
Anna: Gentler.
Larry: What does that mean?
Anna: You know what it means.
Larry: Tell me!
Anna: No.
Larry: I treat you like a whore?
Anna: Sometimes.
Larry: Why would that be?

The Day the Earth Stood Still.

The title says it all, that movie stood still the whole time before I turned it off and went to bed. :so:

Why do they give roles to Keanu Reeves other than one's that actually fit his **cough** **cough** acting style (which is Ted from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure). Seriously, he is a horrible actor.

Avatar in 3D. I had no interest in seeing it, but my wife really wanted to, so.........we went to see it last night. Wow....the animation is just ridiculous. I always have suspension of disbelief issues with films with animation, but, for the first time in an animated movie, I actually felt like I was watching living beings. I'm glad I gave in on that one. The trailers on tv don't do it justice.

I'd have been okay not seeing it in 3D.
