Actually that was yesterday, but TFD and I rented Slumdog Millionaire on Friday night...

Tell me this...if City of God had an angle to it that included a Brazilian version of "The Price is Right", would it have won an Oscar as well?

Milk. Gayest movie ever, literally. Interesting story and great cast, but seriously just gay as heck. :tongue2:

Maybe I'm just tired of biopics taking home the acting Oscars, but I would have taken Clint Eastwood or Brad Pitt over Sean Penn's one-note character.

Also saw: State of Play. Solid all-around political/intrigue thriller: I admit to being a huge admirer of nearly all Russell Crowe's work.

Clint Eastwood? I don't see him being a good gay-rights activist. The guy who kills Harvey Milk, maybe. :p

Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Good for some laughs and some cuties (Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell).

It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better..
I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide's going to turn..
And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get eaaaasier now..
I'm still trying to shake off the pain of the lessons I've learned..

And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the Lord I will slay him!
Ah ha ha ha!!
He'd take you from me, but I swear, I won't let it be so.
Ah ha ha ha!!
Blood will run down his face when he is decapitated!!
AH!!
His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know, how much I love you.

Die...
Die...
Die..

...I can't.

Saw it too on HBO. Seems to get better the more I watch it. Really didn't care for it at all the first time I watched it.

BTW, Jason Segel may be the funniest person ever at crying.

First time I'd seen it. I liked it, but it's good to know it might be better next time. :wink2:

and yes, the crying seen was hilarious...the end scene was a bit shocking, though. :sick1:

It gets so much better with each viewing. It's my favorite comedy of all time. I didn't think Holy Grail would be de-throned, but it was de-throned by a romantic comedy. Definitely didn't see that coming.
