Just got back from watching Star Trek in the theater.

I was a fan of the original series, and I thought this movie fuckin' rocked. A good plot, a lot of action, and characters true to the original series.

I won't give away anything, because I knew almost nothing of what was going to happen, and it was fun to be surprised at some things.

I'd say it's the best Star Trek movie since The Wrath of Khan.

Not gonna lie, when I saw Tyler Perry as the Admiral at Kirk's hearing, I almost quit watching. I fuckin' hate that guy.

Just finished Star Trek. Loved it. Not a Trekkie before...but if they make a bunch more of these, I'll pay to see them. Great cast, great action, kick ass story. Spock's a bad ass motherfucker, as is James T. Kirk.

But best of all, imo...is Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura. :yow2: :groove3:

This Tyler Perry?

He may be the least talented person in Hollywood. Think about that for a second.

Watched The 'Burbs last night. So cheesy but entertaining when there's nothing on at night.

Yes. That no talent having fuckstick drag queen. I fucking hate him...er...her...um...it. I fucking hate it.

The 'Burbs is a fucking great movie. I don't care what anyone says. I loved that movie as a kid. You just knew the neighbors were up to some bullshit, no matter what the other neighbors tried to say. The dad in that family was creepy as fuck.

'Star Trek'...Fuckin' A...9/10, -1 deduction for Tyler Perry

:slappy: Who the fuck thought that would be a good idea? Seriously. "Hey, we need someone to play a Star Fleet Admiral...how about that guy that dresses like a grandma and makes shitty, straight to DVD movies?!"

"Perfect". :roll1:

I was pretty disappointed when I saw the cast for Tyler Perry.. and for John Cho. Don't see him being a great serious-role guy. But I haven't heard any complaints about Cho.

To be honest, Harold wasn't really a major player. Wasn't really in the movie enough to make a difference. But what parts he was in, no complanits from me.

Good to hear. I was more concerned with him than Tyler Perry. I figured Perry would have a small(er) role for some reason. Probably because he's not good at anything.

Oh, no...Perry's role is minor. Barely even in the movie. That's all it takes though.

On another note, dude that played "Bones" nailed the role. Spock is one bad motherfucker too. Uhura is smokin' hot.

[strike] Ben Cross [/strike] Zachary Quinto was an ideal choice for Spock. Simon Pegg was also good for some laughs as Scotty.

The late Majel Barrett Roddenberry was once again the computer voice. She was Nurse Chapel in the original series over 40 years ago, and ended up marrying its creator (Gene R.)

Heat is on AMC. The first time I watched this movie, I was a little underwhelmed. Now that I've seen it again (this is the third time), I can appreciate it.. fuckin' awesome movie.

I hope all Dark Knight fans have seen this.

The Day The Earth Stood Still - Turned it off after 50 min. I knew it wasn't great, I just wanted some cheap action thrills and visuals while I did some graphic work. It was slow but with no plot/personalities to pull it off, and the action was lousy.

Body of Lies - Solid, a bit too predictable to be very good. DiCaprio was strong as always, but Crowe's character was pretty poor.
