I really enjoyed the 3-part ABC mini-series Storm of the Century they made about 10 years ago.

EDIT - limiting it to horror adaptation rules out The Shawshank Redemption, which was fantastic.
I thought Salem's Lot a few years ago w/ Rob Lowe-on TNT or one of thise channels was pretty darn good.

Watching 'W', there was a scene where tOSU was playing a bowl game on TV in the background, and the TV voice was saying that 'Ohio State and Kansas State are playing in the National Championship game' (or words to that effect).

It gave me great confidence about the veracity of everything else in the movie.

Taken, the first non animated movie I have seen in the theater in years. Youngest spending the night at a friends house so wife and I and oldest checked it out. It was pretty cool, and I am not a huge fan of Liam Neeson outside of star wars.

'Body of Lies'...7.5/10, enjoyable.

'Out Of Sight'...an old favorite...just a really cool movie with a great soundtrack. Soderbergh used to be one of my favorites. Jennifer Lopez was bearable in this flick and that says a lot.
