Yea,that movie was definitely much better than I thought, and I'm an eastwood fan. BTW,my greenie gift to you was cut off mid sentence..

The racism in it made it real. It'd be hard to find someone more against racism than I am, but it definitely added to the feel of the film. I thought the actor that played the priest was an excellent addition to the movie. Great cast, all the way around. Not a bad performance...well, the "gangsters" were not up to the level of the rest of the cast...but, it didn't take away much from the movie, imo.

Just an overall fucking bad ass movie.

Gran Torino

I LOVED it.

Doubt

I found it really intense and not at all what I was expecting. I liked it a lot.

Gran Torino. Fuckin' bad ass movie...except for the part where Walter punches the cabinets and glass out in his kitchen. Didn't even look close to real.

Get off Dayton's lawn.

We watched the 5 hour A&E version of Pride and Prejudice last weekend. Fine adaptation of the book.

I'd ask you to turn in your man card, but I'm wondering whether you were ever issued one...

 :p

We watched Beaches and Steel Magnolias over the weekend. Both were FABULOUS.

:p

He's one of the all time greats. I could be missing something but that might be the only good Stephen King Horror adapation

I really enjoyed the 3-part ABC mini-series Storm of the Century they made about 10 years ago.

EDIT - limiting it to horror adaptation rules out The Shawshank Redemption, which was fantastic.

I can't remember what I had for breakfast this morning, but I remember that you mocked me for watching Pride & Prejudice 14 months ago.

Which version did you watch?

I watched 2 movies , One was Gran Torino and I love watching Clint do the bad ass thing.
The other was an outdoors thing that I don't even remember the name because it wasn't very good except for this one scene where this cute little bunny gets mad at a weasel for eating a pancake. He really goes off on the weasel and tears it to shreads, man I laughed my ass off.
It was funny .

Not amused. :shake:

And Fungo is a ferret, not a weasel.
