Is there any value to the film, other than shock?

Well, I have to say it's a ground breaker in the documentary/fiction aspect. It's obvious Blair Witch ripped this move off big time. A lot of the hand held shakey camera stuff we see today grew out of this movie. For what the movie is it's remarkably well done with good cinematography and solid acting.

I'd say it's worth watching because like the original Texas Chainsaw you watch and you can see a lot of ques in film making people took out of the movie.

The F/X work is some of the best I've ever seen.

It certainly is an Italian Cannibal movie but I think there's some actual cinematic value in it besides the shock. Make no mistake that's a major factor in the movie. The point the movie makes even though it goes to extremes to do it about society is relevant.

Tropic Thunder - funniest movie I've seen in years

+1

Twilight -- the wife loves the books. I have to admit, not nearly as cheesy and teeny-bopperish as I expected, with a pretty decent score. Though I'll also admit, if I'm paying to see a movie in the theatre, I am pretty much determined to enjoy myself to some extent.

nope... Burn After Reading... they LOVE Coen Brothers movies....

:paranoid:

Ok, I was worried that you were showing inappropriate things to your kids.

Tropic Thunder and Burn After Reading are my two favorite comedies this year, fyi. The beginning of Tropic Thunder might be the funniest opening, ever. The part with Toby MaGuire = :slappy::slappy::slappy:
