Watched The Dark Knight last night...I am not a big fan of superhero/comic book movies so for this one to hold my interest for 2.5 hours means it must have been decent. Heath Ledge was fantastic...that movie probably isn't nearly as good without his performance.

I agree about Heath Ledger's performance, but the movie creeped me out. Too dark for me.

Green Street Hooligans.

British. One of my top five personal favorites. Loved this movie.

Watch it. Seriously.

Very impressive, BUCKYLE! BP posters know no limits!
Good film, and I assume you know that there is another in the works:
Green Street Hooligans 2
Green Street Hooligans 2 (2009)

Different director, screen writer, etc., so, will be interesting to see how it plays out, whether a continuation, overlap, etc. New one directed by a UK born and UK nationally ranked KungFu fighter/stunt man/stunt coordinator who lives and works here as well.

Original directed by very nice looking, German born hottie, Lexi Alexander, herself a World Champion Karate & Kickboxing champ. Good script w/a solid through line for action driven material. Elijah Wood did a good job, too. Hope 2 is as well done.

I can't take credit for Old Boy or Green Street Hooligans.
If not for gemsweater, I'd probably have been watching The Waterboy or Happy Gilmore again.

Good (2008)
Last film issued in '08 for consideration. Based on a stage play that explores the rise of socialism in Nazi Germany and one man's personal family issues and his endorsement of euthanasia in a novel, this film is wordy, thought provoking and super charged with emotional issues...and would only recommend for people who appreciate such stimuli.

Austrian born Brazilian director on his first big time feature attempt(to my knowledge) uses different, some times clever techniques to tell this story and keep you hot on the trail, but not boiling, throughout, basically. Not perfect, but sometimes effective. Script could be at issue, disjointed, but the cast, featuring Mortensen, who hold his own with a top notch group of Brits and internationals, saves it for the director during crunch times, imo.

Have a personal interest in the production(no financial gain) and if you're interested...and can find it(it's hardly mainstream) in theaters or DVD later on, and if you'd like to bother, would ask that you please give any and all feedback, no mater how brief or knee jerk. Will pass it along and default demographics as 18-40 year old males...unless it obvious otherwise or you wish to share if it's not. Much appreciated.
