Kiffin, who credits Saban for showing him how to handle an entire program as a head coach, joked last week that he couldn't recall any fond memories at Alabama, only the so-called "ass-chewings" Saban gave him from time to time.

Several Alabama staff members were "dumbfounded" about those Kiffin comments, sources told McMurphy, and also Kiffin's comments that "fun is not a word we use around here."

In past weeks, Alabama sources told ESPN that Kiffin would not have been allowed to return after this season. However, Kiffin said at his FAU introductory news conference and at the Peach Bowl events that those reports were not true.

"I don't know where that came from: that the Kiffin-Saban marriage had run its course," Kiffin said last week.

Am I the only one who finds them really significant? I feel that it is something that Kiffin really thought, that was passed off as a joke. Other parts of the article say that some 'Bama staff were angry with Kiffin for being late for meetings and media events.

tOSU won the 2015 NC when Herman was moving to Houston. Same with 'Bama in 2015 when Kirby Smart was moving to Georgia. They both showed amazing maturity and put a fine balancing act between duties at a future job and the current job, or so I thought. I remember thinking that Kiffin may not have the maturity to do the same. And this article reinforces this perception. I am willing to bet my bottom dollar that Kiffin is going to fail miserably. But nothing we don't know already.

Just from the glimpses of Kiffin's "Welome" speech at FAU, I wonder how secure he thinks he is if he spends his precious first 'face-time' with the new folk on alibiing for Bama.......I second the notion that this is his last head coach gig, and willing start the rumor that he is already on thin ice with his new bosses. You gotta have a healthy ego to be a HC, and Lame Kitten is showing his ego is pretty sickly. Oh well, doubt we'll schedule him in the future, so good luck he'll need it.

On Thursday, Kiffin appeared 15 minutes late to the team's Peach Bowl media day and was the last Alabama coach to leave the event. By the time he got out of the Georgia Dome locker room to where the buses were supposed to be, they were already headed back to the team hotel in downtown Atlanta.

That's an example of the 'executive stiletto'. Moving your office to the lunchroom, holding a meeting, asking you a question, and after your answer, saying that had been covered last week......that sort of thing. Can't wait for Satan's memoirs to come out. Bet Kitten will have several chapters to himself. Go Bucks!
