I think he'll do a fine job. After being sacked by Al "I should be wearing Depends" Davis, Kiffin has got to be looking at this almost as a "do-or-die" opportunity.
As embarrassing as it is to admit, I am a Raiders' fan, and I think he was making some improvements in Oakland... he just never got a chance to see them through... still, I don't see the SEC (or any other major conference) as the place to start out as a young head coach... Hopefully he can get it together in 2-3 years...
I just moved to Knoxville from Columbus, so hopefully I can catch a few games next year to see what he does...

...and the street should be named: Monte Kiffin Lane :biggrin:

I don't care what they name a street. As a Bucs fan I just want to ask why would Monte leave to go coach at UT? Does he really see himself going on recruiting trips for days in places where the kids are going to know his name but think how much longer is he going to coach. I believe that he really is the keystone that keeps the Bucs winning and would hate to see him go. Hell I would rather fire Gruden than let Monte go. I don't think that chucky is the genius that he was made out to be.

Dang methomps! You beat me to it! I think he will be fine if he can get his dad to leave TB and run his defense and I wonder if he is gonna try and get coach "O" to come on board as well. Man that would be something wouldnt it?
