He also suggested they think that player is good....which goes against what the kid said. I'm guessing the story the kid told is closer to the truth, because it seems like something a coach like Meyer would tell a kid. "Listen...you didn't play well enough to earn an Ohio State offer. That's how it works some times."

I wondered the same thing and if he perhaps painted a different picture in the recent discussion as a way of ending it with no further hurt feelings. Essentially having staff fall on sword instead of getting into details of why they might have evaluated him differently.

Paint a pretty picture for the fragile flower.

I'm sorry, but if he felt like he was treated like crap during a camp/recruiting visit, I doubt he'd feel very much better during one of Coach Mick's conditioning programs.
