Lamarcus Joyner (DB New York Jets)

I just watched some youtube videos of Mr. Joyner. Unbelievable talent on the field. But all of that has been said already. The real reason I am posting this is to vent about the Miami fans making comments on the YouTube videos.

They are some of the most delusional people I have ever seen, and they obviously have reading comprehension issues, saying things like "he is from Dade, DA U lock" ect ect. I was tempted to post something in the video comments, but I figure it would have been pointless, so I came over here to do it instead.

But anyways, my amount of respect for Genron has just gone through the roof. It must be an unbelievable headache trying to handle this recruitment process, especially if the YouTube comments are any indication of what the expectations are in Dade County. I wouldn't be able to handle it, but kudos to you and keep up the good work Genron, we really appreaciate all that you do to keep us updated with the latest news.

Actually, I was just looking at those videos and there are fans from FSU, UF, Miami and even tOSU. I didnt' see any scUM fans

However, you do point something out by the mentality of the local fans here that the state schools think they automatically have an advantage and don't need to exert the same recruiting effort that say an out-of-state school has to in order to get attention.

There is however an in-state battle. I think what generally happens here in Florida is that Miami will recruit in the southern half of the state, mostly along the Atlantic coast going from Palm Beach down to even the Keys (I remember a few recruits they got from there), but not necessarily over to the Gulf side. Florida and Florida State fight over the northern part of the state and even into Tampa down to Naples on the Gulf side. Where there has been a battleground recently and Miami has done well is in Orlando.

Yeah, I think its starting to get to him. His top 5 seems to change with each day, except for OSU. One day Miami is out of it, the next week they are back in. But thats community pressure and Miami turning up the heat. They do it slick, Like right now they are in the background not saying much to him. Eventually the whole staff is going to be going to his school and games. As long as O-State can keep in constant contact every week and Haynes develop a good connection with him they will be in good position. And there is a dark horse, I mean real dark horse. Not even a BCS school which he's not talking mentioning who has one of the best persons as man that I know. And he honestly doesn't care what school LJ goes to and his relationship with us is through the roof. If this guy was at a BCS school it would have been a committment right now hands down. But anywayz, I believe OSU may have the same type of character coaches as well. Forget all that "the program sells itself" stuff. No people sell the program. "You win with people," I love that qoute now. I always followed a ton of Woody's coaching strategies.

USF is a BCS school, I doubt that the coach of UCF (who literally pushed one of his players to death I believe) would garner such high praise from genron. And I also doubt it's a good idea to try and guess the school.

That being said, I am going to agree with everyone else who has thanked genron for his great updates. LJ sounds like a great kid, even if we don't get him I'll wish him luck.. But I think we get him in the end. DB U.

this kid is so fast and has such a nose for the ball, he just explodes when he hits someone, he does not hit like he is 5'8 168 he hits like a linebacker. I personally would like him to play strong saftey with his nose for the ball. I cant see anything getting past him and jwood. But he would prob play corner with his covering skills.:oh::io:

I'm going to guess FIU. Their coaches almost convinced Telfort to commit there.

Actually that kid had a previous medical condition that he and his family concealed. That workout in question was a light training session consisting of mostly dynamic stretching drills. Anywayz, my bad I just wanted to answer that real quick....

Just a little FYI, Joyner's scout page lists his forty time at 4.34 and his short shuttle time at 4.53 (rivals also has his shuttle time at 4.53), which is the exact time that rivals lists his forty time at. I'm thinking rivals may have had a data entry error on that one.

Regardless, you don't need an accurately listed forty time to tell that Lamarcus has world class speed.

Having watched the man in person, I'll vouch.
