I have a friend who has 4 children. His wife makes twice as much money as him. She went out and cheated, then left him. He has to pay her $1200./month child support. Yea, that's fair.

Oh, he is bitter!
You are right. It is far better to base your opinions on some article you read than on your personal life experiences.
By the way, am I drunk?
I can only imagine, I have always told my wife that we will never get divorced... I just couldn't afford it.
You sidestepped my question, do you know of any men who gained custody of their children?
I have other freinds that are stuck in shitty marraiges because they don't want to lose their kids.

I know....but that isn't important right now...whats important is that there is a random article that supports jc's arguement so he doesn't need to give any other answer. So please move on

Even though he had to change jobs and is making less than he did at the time of the divorce he payments did not go down at all. I could also tell you about how the ex wife tells his kids what a horrible father he is, even though he is the one that always buys them new things and has to fight to be able to get them for any holidays. Of course she doesn't do anything with them on the holidays...she just doesn't want them to have them.
I. However, I just don't feel sorry for any man who has to pay money to his wife or kids. If money is what is most important to you then don't get married. If you choose to enter into a legal relationship and gain benefits from that relationship, you should know the consequences of what could happen if that relationship fails.
