There is no doubt in my mind that whatever NIL $ is would take to land Stewart would be significantly better invested in proven transfers who are going to play.

There's a reason for a while, Birm has been the only analayst(along with AE at Rivals) who have been beating the drum of not caring of Stewart was a Buckeye or not. And didn't think he'd make an impact at all really in '25. No knock on Stewart, but the Buckeyes have backup OL on the roster that could dominate Stewart right now, so it'd be insane to spend so much on NIL on him right now

Honestly I never thought he was coming here, but if it was a matter of a bidding war then I am glad we saved the money after learning more on his track record. He is likely 2 years out from being a major contributor and you don't shell out big dollars for that.

I was just about to post this. Imagine overpaying for a kid who played 10 HS games. He's going to be in for a rude awakening in Spring camp when there's more than 1 OL who has the strength and size to block him.

Honestly I was just watching his camp circuit films impressed, but that little actual game time? I don't wish him any ill will at all, but we're smart to not break the bank here is all I'm saying.
