This was a 2 point game. 1 or 2 more calls--in the first half of either half when this uneven crew was deciding what to with this one--and 33% from the floor isn't the stat of the night. Yes, it was a bad game in many ways by our guys tonight, but to dismiss the role of officiating completely is so simplistic.

We should've made more free throws.

Look, I get that it would've been nice had someone with a hotter stroke taken the shot there (ala Diebs), but there's nothing anyone could've done to make that happen once the inbounds happened. If anything, I'm more frustrated that Craft was on Knight at the end of the game. He's a solid defender, but he doesn't have the height to disrupt a shot that Diebs or Lighty do and Knight basically broke his ankles and shot over him.

Thats exactly what I said. Exactly.

And I disagree, Craft/Lighty are astounding defenders, there was a great chance that Aaron was going to get a steal, and he didn't give up a good look. That bastard just drained it. Only way he wasn't making that was a block.

Remember, there was a lot of time on the clock when he took the shot, he didn't have to pull up. If Diebs was on him, he probably gets to the line.

Yes, please. Let's talk about the football team. What have they been up to the last couple weeks? :paranoid:
No shit. I'd say I'm ready for Opening Day, but the Reds are going to leave ST with three starters absent.

Maybe this is the summer I finally finish that patio I broke ground on three years ago.

And honestly, what is exhausting to me is seeing everyone blame the shooting percentage and being so quick to dismiss the bad officiating.

We shot like shit. Yes. But what makes a team great is their ability to win games even when it is a down night. Tonight was that night. And we were still there to win it. We came up to point short. And to say that the officiating had no impact on the outcome of this game-- a 2 point fucking game, is just asinine to me.

Well he did shine hitting the tying shot. If it had been him on the last look someone would have been molesting his monkey...no way he gets an open look at the end.

Can't rewind since I changed over to the other game, but I'm pretty sure Diebs had a few steps of space between him and the nearest UK player. If Craft would have actually looked to his right instead of just going to the left, we might have had a much better look at a final shot.

Thousands of calls missed calls in these games.... Only one I thought hurt was when that Eddie Munster dude charged Craft and they called it on Craft. I didn't see the replay could have been a good call but first glance it looked like he was set.

I thought that too before the replay, Craft was clearly moving.

Admittedly I've used this argument before, but I can't make that case here. Like you said it was a 2 point game, and since you can't control what the refs are gonna do as a player, the onus is on you to make plays and score points.
