King bumps his gums on the pickle

But basically it was good for a guy that just had surgery, got it.

Ultimately I am just offering up other options is Berry sint there, but the funny thing is that while I have talked about posiibly taking Clausen 1st a safety second, I have never actually said I would take Clausen over Berry.

Why do you guys get so worked up, no one, NO ONE, NO ONE has given any alternatives if Berry isnt there except trade down.

No, but clearly you're only capable of hearing what you want to hear. Others had better reviews, but this one was not a positive one.

I also enjoy how you've don't deny being king_rhabuf reincarnated.

Actually you started by talking about taking Haden first and a safety in the second.

Given your penchant for the 'franchise killer' hyperbole, it's bears mentioning that safeties are usually a reach that high in the draft. But here in the real world, not stereotype land, Berry is worth breaking the mold.
Why do you guys get so worked up
Besides your constant misrepresentations of quotes, events & opinions and not-so-subtle insults?

Maybe that's because it's the only reasonable option if they don't get the one guy worth taking for this team at #7? If Berry's gone, they can trade back 10 spots and still address pretty much any need--except QB, which can be addressed in the next 2 rounds as well as Clausen would in the 1st. Trading back to mid-1st and taking a Trent Williams at RT, or Earl Thomas at S, and then picking up an extra 2nd or whatever, would be a great move for this team.

Here is what everyone, EVERYONE, EVERYONE has been saying: NO CLAUSSEN at 7, 8, 9, etc. Everyone, EVERYONE, EVERYONE has made it very clear they rather trade down then draft that scrub.

Here is my reccomendation - ANY ONE BUT emu. Happy?

Were you there or something?

If you're not healthy enough to have a pro day, don't have a pro day.
Jimmy Clausen?s audition Friday for approximately a dozen-and-a-half NFL teams was about as impressive as he could have hoped for coming off toe surgery.

?It went well,? said Clausen after completing 57-of-59 passes to former Irish wide receivers Golden Tate, Robby Parris and David Grimes, and running back James Aldridge on Meyo Field inside the Loftus Sports Center.

?I?d been working with David and Robby when we were down in California for about a week-and-a-half, and I just got here Monday night and threw with all the guys, Golden and James included. I felt great out there.?

Clausen threw just about every three-, five- and seven-step drop throw imaginable, although he limited his movement because he is still recovering from surgery to repair a tendon in his right foot.

?That?s why I didn?t do any movement,? Clausen said. ?My toe feels great. It?s just the top of my ankle from being in a boot for eight weeks. Putting a lot of pressure on it, it?s still weak. I?ve got to keep getting that stronger, but that?s the reason I didn?t do any nakeds or bootlegs.?

It was difficult to recognize that Clausen is coming off surgery. Using plays from Charlie Weis? playbook, Clausen zipped the football with authority and only overshot two throws ? both deep balls that a lunging Parris couldn?t catch up to. Otherwise, Clausen?s accuracy was flawless, rifling the ball around the indoor facility much like he did during the 2009 season when he connected on 68 percent of his passes.

?He really is a very accurate passer with an explosive throwing motion and the ability to make all the throws,? said Marc Trestman, a former NFL coach who helped Clausen choreograph the workout.

?He spins the ball just beautifully. These guys caught everything today, which just goes to show you he has the type of ball that is catchable.?

Clausen said he hadn?t thrown a football in front of an audience since the season-ending loss to Stanford.

?It was real quiet in here,? Clausen said. ?You could hear a pin drop.

?I just wanted to go out there and show (the scouts) that my foot has come along at about 75, 80 percent. It feels great throwing the ball. I?m not in any pain.

?It?s a hard process, but I?m having a great time. For me and my family, it?s a dream come true. I?m just having fun with the whole process.?

There have been a ton of positive write ups, the one kid only posted the one negative one I can find. Well, that one and one from McShay and we all know how that works out.

Seriously, you posted a write-up from IrishIllustrated, written by an "IrishIllustrated.com Senior Editor" and filled with gushing quotes from a "coach who helped Clausen choreograph the workout" and Clausen himself?

Feel free to watch the highlight video here to see just how ugly many of his passes were:

I'd suggest starting here for past King Rhabuf arguments where he was so far off on Brady Quinn it's hard not to chuckle....

http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/forum/...browns-qb-brady-quinn-official-thread-11.html

I love the part where he says pay Brady Top 10 pick money, because he's earned/worth it.

Any GM even contemplating taking Jimmy Claussen in the Top 10 should be immediately fired. Once again, falling into the trap of an over-hyped QB from ND, that played against god-awful defenses, under the genious that is Charlie Weiss. Put Dan Lefevour at Notre Dame and Claussen at Central Michigan, and Lefevour is a possible first round pick while Claussen is a mid-rounder. It's how the ND hype machine works. They generate interest (love/hate) amongst sports fans, so they garner massive amounts of attention, and analysts find reasons to move them up their board months before the draft, to the point people seriously believe a guy like Claussen could be worth a top 10 pick. It's poor form. Claussen isn't worth a first rounder let alone a top 10 pick....If Mike Holmgren pulls a stunner and takes him, I'll absolutely quit. It's been hard enough....

Truth be told, I think there's a realistic chance Jimmy is there in the second at which point, I'd be pissed if they took him there. He's a prima-donna, his arm strength is overrated, he isn't likeable and I think it'd be worth a vbet to see how long it takes for a player to assault him similar to Brady Quinn. At least if Colt is picked, we can stare at his girlfriend even if he sucks. If Claussen sucks, all we get is his stupid-ass peacock haircut trying to hide the fact that he's going bald like his brothers.

So someone says it's about as impressive as it could've been, and there have been negative reports.

Jimmy Clausen doesn't wow scouts at Pro Day workout - NFL - SI.com - not an article by a kid.

Stop talking down to people on here. You're the only person who ever agrees with yourself and you act like you're always right. Not only is that beyond arrogant (to the point of Michigan arrogance), it makes you look stupid. If you want any credibility with anyone on this site, you're free to disagree, just don't act like we're a bunch of children.

It doesn't appear that you want any credibility. I fully expect you to pull the victim excuse and say "LOL I DIDNT SAY IT U DID"

EDIT: And your article was from a site called Irish Illustrated? Are you fucking serious?
