Warren is an absolute clown show.

What in the hell was that? Is this some kind of a fucking joke?

Where are the answers?

Dude is in WAY WAY over his head and it’s really pissing me off. Am I the only one that imagines jobs like his being reserved for sharp-as-a-tack type of people? I mean, for fucks sake I’d have to think twice about putting this somebitch in charge of a hot dog stand. Kick this joker to the curb.

The continued lack of transparency and communication from Warren and or whoever else played a role in this decision speaks volumes. They failed (in order of importance) the student athletes, their families, the businesses surrounding college sports, their employees and the fans.

I was not originally in the camp of fire Warren but I’m there now. Totally botched and rather than taking action to communicate the rationale / process or acknowledging this wasn’t handled properly, we get BS and discussions of a spring season that has the appearance of placating fans. The fact that the B1G conference members have significant resources, they had months to plan for this season AND probably the biggest strike, his son is suiting up in the middle of the fertile COVID grounds, leaves zero reason to accept how this was handled. Everything he’s stated about player safety (the one coherent point I believe he made) can no longer be considered authentic if his son is suiting up. No consideration for the optics bruh...

Leadership is not for everyone.

I really hope the 6 schools season is true and comes to fruition because the thought of OSU (and others) telling Warren "we'll take it under advisement" is delicious.

Will it be possible to complete a season? I don't know. Kevin Warren doesn't know either, and fuck him for deciding whether anyone can even try.

Big Ten won't revisit decision to postpone fall sports, Kevin Warren says

Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren on Wednesday released an open letter to the conference community stating the vote by the Big Ten's Council of Presidents and Chancellors was "overwhelmingly in support of postponing fall sports and will not be revisited."

"The decision was thorough and deliberative, and based on sound feedback, guidance and advice from medical experts," Warren wrote in his first public comments since announcing the league's decision on Aug. 11. "Despite the decision to postpone fall sports, we continue our work to find a path forward that creates a healthy and safe environment for all Big Ten student-athletes to compete in the sports they love in a manner that helps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protects both student-athletes and the surrounding communities."

Before we burn this guy at the stake, let's consider that he's brand new. On something like this, even Delaney wasn't going to make a solo decision and have the Presidents go along with it. Warren doesn't have anywhere near Delaney's amount of clout and political capital built up, so I think he's essentially the mouthpiece (and potential fall guy) on this, not the driving force behind it, and this might explain why communication out of the conference office has been spotty at best. He's trying to corral 14 different university Presidents each answering to different constituencies and boards and dealing with different home state political forces (OK, not Northwestern in the latter case).

Is it a clusterfuck? Yes. Is Warren the fucker or just another fuckee trying to work through the situation?

It’s too late. He needs some serious help to come out of this one. It’s textbook for how to mismanage a situation. I think he has made a name for himself that will be hard to shake. A905F2D0-0431-4EB0-B227-5A0AE91B447B.jpeg

I guess the FoIA requests will prove who the fuckers and fuckees are.

Your points are all good ones. Nonetheless, fucker or fuckee... this fucker has to go.

Well then they can go fuck themselves. Dickless wonders, and nothing he said there convinces me that players organizing had nothing to do with it. B1G and PAC 12 players came together as one and submitted their requests. Both conferences ran like hell to cancel the season.

I might have bought the "thorough and deliberative" horse shit if the same bunch hadn't released a revised schedule 6 days before chucking the season. What happened in those six days? See my first paragraph.
