I agree with your point. My contention is that the method to address this is to use the considerably large dick that we swing around in conference matters to do our talking behind the scenes (which I hope is what's happening right now) rather than be pushed into a public legal fight against the conference and the other schools at the behest of a politician.

What’s the point of having a huge cock if you never use it to fuck?

SKULL SESSION: BIG TEN VOTE COULD COME WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS, JOEY BOSA SPITS A LITTLE TRASH TALK AT JOE BURROW, AND THE NCAA TOURNAMENT ISN'T EXPANDING

VOTE COMING SOON. Nothing about this situation in the Big Ten has been anything resembling smooth or clear. We've got dozens of people reporting dozens of things, some with blatantly fake sources and some presumably using those people as their sources.

However, it seems – even according to the most conservative of all reports about this situation – we are finally getting somewhere.

ESPN and The Athletic have both reported that a Big Ten's return to competition task force is ready to present its findings to the conference and a vote could happen within the next few days. More importantly, October is still on the table.

A Big Ten source told The Athletic on Thursday that restarting competition at the end of October is not out of the question, under the assumption that Big Ten campuses are outfitted with equipment to produce daily tests by the end of September. The source said the league’s Council of Presidents and Chancellors (COP/C) is expected to be briefed by the conference’s medical subcommittee this weekend and — if the group feels confident moving forward based on that information — could vote on a restart date as soon as Sunday. The source added that it is possible the league moves forward but individual schools still opt not to play in 2020.

Sources have told ESPN the Big Ten's return to competition task force is getting closer to presenting updated findings to the league's presidents and chancellors, who could vote again on competition timelines as early as next week.

This is particularly meaningful because both of these outlets have been among the ones slow-playing any hope of an October season or an imminent vote. So if this is what they're saying now... Buckle up.

Is the BYU vs Navy game a 55 to 3 blow out foretelling the college football season? And do we even care?
There will be a lot of noncompetitive games because of Covid. Texas( UT), is practicing it's freshman and walk-ons a lot because they might actually have to play them at some point. That's just where college football is at this Covid season. Do we care?

Navy admitted to not tackling at all during “preseason camp” that’s about the level of care

There are always a lot of noncompetitive games in CFB. Literally every single season since the game was invented. Do you even follow the sport?
Do we care?
Yes, we care. And the Ohio State coaches care. And the players care. And their families care. And guess what? The fans care, too. The real fans, at any rate.

For that matter, there are a lot of NFL games that are non-competitive. Many of them take place in Cincinnati and Cleveland.

Imagine if a team loses players to COVID during a stretch of big games like the CFP or something. Let's say the team has to play backups in key positions. What a waste of a season it would be if a CFP team has to play their 3rd string QB due to COVID quarantines. That team would most certainly lose out on their chance to be champions, right? Right?
