Kevin (Tim “Asshat” Racadb) Warren (ex-B1G Commissioner)

I appreciate Carp keeping up the fight but I don't think a "ground swell" matters to KW and the folks in their ivory towers. There have already been protests at Ohio State and TSUN.

Yes, the idea that football is going to change positions on the priority lists of these people is fantasy

You care about football more than BOT and college presidents. They side with the Chinese and continent of Africa about college football. They aren’t fans probably never played and have other needs.
That feels like a pretty broad stroke. Their jobs aren't focused entirely on sports.......that doesn't mean they're anti-sport nerds who don't even know what a football looks like.

To your point, here's a current OSU BOT member:

Jeff M.S. Kaplan

A lifelong Buckeye, Mr. Kaplan has served Ohio State in varying capacities, from graduate assistant football coach to senior vice president and executive officer of the university.

Ohio State football: Big Ten has missed their window

There were rumors of a re-vote happening over the weekend about reversing course on the Big Ten Fall football season. Now it looks as though Ohio State has missed their title window.

Ohio State did their best. They tried to rally parents, players, and fans to get the Big Ten to change their minds about not playing football this Fall. Nebraska did it too. Yet despite all of the noise that was made, the Big Ten has let their window slip away.

If the Big Ten was going to reverse course and play this Fall, they would have had to of voted on it this past weekend. That would have given teams a month to prepare for the season that could have started on October 10th. Instead, they sat on their hands and did nothing.

Now it looks as though Ohio State has missed their national title window. Starting in early to mid-October is the only chance the Buckeyes had at getting a look from the selection committee to play in the College Football Playoff. Now that won’t happen.

It takes a month for players to get into enough shape to play football games at a high level safely. Unless practices start up again sometime this week, that October 10 date won’t happen. You would have thought it would have made sense for teams to start practicing at the beginning of this week as opposed to the end if they wanted to hit that date.

Because of a rush to judgment, the Big Ten will be the laughingstock of college football all season long. While the Pac-12 came out and gave specific reasons for canceling their season, the Big Ten still has only given vague reasons to do the same.

It’s disappointing that this is the reality that we have to accept as Buckeye fans. This team really could have been something special.

Ohio State football: Big Ten is run by a bunch of cowards

Ohio State won’t get to play football this Fall and its because the conference it’s in is run by a bunch of cowards.

The Big Ten conference has been taking a bunch of heat following their decision to cancel all Fall sports. They haven’t been transparent at all about the reasons for doing so. There were rumors of a re-vote but nothing has happened yet as far as that goes.

The reason why there hasn’t been a re-vote or any transparency for the original decision is that the conference is run by a bunch of cowards. Kevin Warren is a spineless commissioner that has cowered behind a supposed secret vote by the presidents of the universities.

It also shows the cowardice of the presidents of the universities as well. They have let Warren take the bulk of the heat for the decision to cancel football. No one has come out and given a formal statement as to who voted for what. No one has taken any accountability.

Ohio State deserves better leadership from their conference. They have been very open with their desire to play football and the rest of the Fall sports. They also have given discernable reasons for wanting to play sports by backing it up with facts about their testing protocol.

The same can’t be said for the rest of the universities in the Big Ten. Besides Nebraska, no one else has helped Ohio State get the conference to change their minds. It would be easier for fans to accept if other universities actually came out and gave solid evidence and reasons for cancelation.

Leadership has never failed harder in the Big Ten conference. Because of its lack of leadership, the conference is the laughingstock of the college football world. Their lack of leadership has cost the conference millions of dollars and student-athletes their chance to compete.

Rutgers’ annual fiscal-year documents obtained by NJ Advance Media show the athletics department’s deficit to be $444.5 million since 2003-04 and $238.4 million since university President Robert Barchi took office in 2012.
I am shocked beyond words that the state university of such a well run state could be upside down like that.
