That may have been pre-COVID, but the playoff committee would be hard-pressed to not include a B1G champion that went undefeated in an seven-game conference schedule and then won the CCG (eight games total). Many conferences "back in the day" (Big VIII, Pac 8/10, Big Ten) had only seven/eight conference games and no CCG.

I've never heard of a games played requirement for the CFPB and if so there certainly isn't one this year. That would mean any team in the SEC would be ineligible if they need to cancel any games.
