The Dean had a mostly positive review of his visit.
I’m at liberty to summarize since I read this on another boards non-premium board.
OSU feels we have made a move.
His mom digs the culture.
But there is an uncle involved in the decision, he will visit Bama, and NIL will be a factor.
The way Bama processes kids, those numbers mean little. They’ll play the best and those who aren’t get in the transfer portalBama looks like they have a haul lined up or crystal balled at the DE position. Not sure how much that will matter to Keon but may be the final edge we need.
nice....
I think the 1 year contract needs to be mentioned. LJ may be trying to maximize salary but I also see him being done as a full time coach soon. Maybe he does part time, who knowsKids these days...jk, hilarious and I would have done the same thing. Seems we are sitting in really good position here, Keon is likely going to take his visits but we'll keep up the full court press. I think a big thing with the DE recruiting and a "slow start" was kids doubting if LJ Sr would be around to coach him. From all the interviews and videos I have seen of LJ Sr, he looks nowhere ready to retire and is adamant he doesn't plan on it any time soon. We'll see if that holds up but I tend to believe he has another 2-3 years at least here and I think the recruits are buying into that as well.

Sometimes to steal an assistant from another school Ohio State will give him a multi year contract, like above ↑; (obviously there are exceptions) but, it is my understanding that colleges typically just give assistant football coaches a 1 year contract. A 1 year contract for an assistant football coach should not be considered that big of deal, i.e. does not imply that he is planning on retiring.Ohio State said Knowles has signed a three-year deal, paying him $1.9 million a year. Knowles will officially become the defensive coordinator on January 2, 2022.

Any source where you "heard" this info?Doesnt seem promising. Heard we barely pulled even with Alabama at best. If that’s how he feels after two amazing visits, best of luck.
