Karlos Williams (Buffalo Bills)

FSU's Karlos Williams named in drug deal robbery case

A Tallahassee man who was robbed during a drug deal gone bad in June said the transaction was set up by Florida State University running back Karlos Williams, according to a Tallahassee Police Department incident report.

According to a TPD incident report, the victim said Williams was his "hook up" for marijuana. He explained to police that he would contact Williams, who then would contact a drug dealer to set up a place to meet.

The victim said in the police report that Williams set up such a deal on June 23, in which three men showed up at his house just a few blocks west of Doak Campbell Stadium, so he could buy an eighth of an ounce of marijuana for $50.

At about 5:25 p.m., the dealer, later identified in a police lineup as Daravius "Gutta" Lawrence, then 17, arrived at the home. The victim paid Lawrence who then went outside to his car to get some change. When Lawrence left, the two other suspects pulled out handguns, made the victim lie down on the floor and demanded the marijuana and all of his money, the report said.

Williams, Cappleman said, is not a suspect.

"The victim suspects that (Williams) was involved in setting up the robbery, other than that there is no other evidence he was involved," she said.

Tallahassee attorney Tim Jansen, who is representing Williams in a domestic battery investigation, said Williams is at most a witness and not under investigation in the case. He said Williams was never contacted last week to discuss the robbery as has been reported by other media outlets.

Williams subject to Title IX inquiry

Karlos Williams is subject to a Title IX investigation by FSU even if law enforcement drops the case.

Tallahassee Police Department officials intend to continue their domestic assault investigation of Florida State running back Karlos Williams, according to The Associated Press, and Williams might face a Title IX investigation by the school even if police drop the case.

Williams, the No. 2 Seminoles' leading rusher, was accused of physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, who is the mother of his infant son and pregnant with their second child. On Wednesday, the woman formally requested that Tallahassee police terminate their investigation and asked that Williams not be charged.

"It is my desire that this matter be resolved expeditiously without Mr. Williams being arrested, charged, or prosecuted for any criminal offense," the woman wrote in an affidavit, which was sent to Tallahassee police by her attorney. "Please exercise your discretion properly by respecting my privacy and my family's privacy in this matter."

Williams, a senior from Davenport, Florida, also could face a Title IX investigation by FSU's Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, which could lead to findings of violations of the school's student conduct code.

There are some coaches who learn that their star RB has been accused of domestic violence/violence v. women who immediately suspend that player indefinitely. When the charges eventually get dropped, and it's shown that the player did not commit the crime, some coaches go ahead and make their star RB sit 4 games anyway.

Jimbo aint one of those coaches.

Well, the particular coach I had in mind also has a reputation among certain news outlets as being a "win at all costs" kind of guy who runs rogue programs with felons and drug addicts throughout the roster.
I had a Colorado State grad and a Florida grad talking college football with me yesterday at the unit Halloween party. These tards started talking about discipline and college football, ie FSU. They had the nerve to talk about some player that got suspended at UF. The CSU grad chimes in with, "...and that was under a Meyer led team. You know it must have been bad."

My reply, "Do you watch a lot of ESPiN?"

CSU douche, "Yeah! I live for that channel."

Walked away so I didn't offend the kids.
