It is time for mr Nuernberger to man up. We can not keep missing kicks in big games. Besides the needed points, it is a momentum shifter. We don't miss kicks at Ohio State. Let's go.

This. This time next year he should hopefully be more in the 80% range, but he's just a freshman. He's 7/11 on the year and just as your title, he's a Freshman. He's also human....he's not going to make every kick, just as JT isn't going to hit every pass. There's going to be growing pains.....

After reading the last few threads, I think a "vacation" is in order...
I really think Urban should get Neurnberger some more game reps in blowouts instead of always going for it on 4th down. I know he's trying to get the offense game reps by going for it, and I support that, but we're going to need Neurnberger too as a part of the offense moving forward. You usually need to hit a big field goal in a big game. He's a freshman who's 1-4 in the only close, big games he's played. Any experience will help.
kicking field goals in blowouts is a dick move. even Dantonio said he wouldn't have done that this weekend against Michigan....and he was trying to be a dick (like usual).I really think Urban should get Neurnberger some more game reps in blowouts instead of always going for it on 4th down. I agree. I too am getting pretty sick of @MD Buckeye.
Im pretty sure the team is focused on getting the first down most of the time, not on the hash the ball is on.I never did understand why they line up a right footed kicker that hasn't been the most accurate on the right hash. Why not run a play to the middle or left side on 3rd down if you think your are going to need to kick it? Even NFL kickers seem to have trouble from the right hash, which for them is even with the goal post. This just goes to prove that offensive coordinators hate kickers. I'll never say anything bad about a freshman kicker.
That elitist pr ick needs to go.
