The poor guy has been the long-snapper for three years, barely anyone would know who he was, but thanks to him, Nuge has been a Groza finalist twice, an All American twice, and now the Groza winner. Groom was a Ray Guy finalist and an All American, and Sanders was the Ray Guy winner and an All American in the only year he was ever eligible for the award.

Kyle walked-on to the team in 2001 and had to enter the Outback Bowl in a pinch. He's never given up the position since. From 2002-04, Kyle has been the long-snapping specialist for 38 consecutive games, and unless I'm mistaken he hasn't had a single, errant long-snap in his career. In fact, as I think about it, have we even allowed a blocked punt in the last three years either?

Long snappers don't get any awards, and unless they're regular position players aren't going to be up for Lombardis or Outlands or Bednariks, but Andrews deserves at least some type of recognition for what he's done for the team.

Excellent points! If he can get into the NFL he'll be there for 20 years. They love the long snappers you never hear about.

Way to go Nuge!!!! Man are we going to miss this guy. He should have been a three time Groza winner.

Guys like Nuge and Hawk and Jenkins and Krenzel make me forget about Clarett and all the ESPN crap.

Congrats again to TBDKITL!!! (The best damn kicker in the land)

Nuge needs a bigger trophy! It's a danm shame and a crime! Geez, I could find a
piece of granite or marble out in my back yard that would do him more justice then that cheap piece of shit they gave him! At least he'll make a few million in the pros!

Maybe Kyle can get a nice NFL contract! Even the minimum, what is it like $250K, now? Wish them all the chance to make some big money!

Nuge's point chase

Does anyone remember off the top of their head how many points Nuge needs to score in order to become the All-time leader in points scored? If I'm not mistaken, he needs 7 to tie and 8 to overtake the lead. Can anyone verify or correct this?

Also, did anyone see that new technology they used last night after the Oregon St kicker botched that PAT? Some sort of thing like baseball uses to judge the distance of homeruns. Anyway, they can determine by how many feet a kick was good/no good as well as how far it would have been good from.... Hopefully Nuge gets to unleash his leg for a 55+ yarder tonight and they can tell us once and for all how far he can kick the ball.
