K Jonathan Skeete (official thread)

Coach Tressel told media this morning at morning workouts that Skeete, having been re-admitted to tOSU as a student has the same right as any other student to "try out" for the team as a walk-on. And so that is aparently what he is doing.

The thing about it is, there would be another media shit strom if they did not let him try out.

He is not back on the team yet, he just merely trying out along with 5 or 6 othere guys.

He is admitted as a student so as Tress said he has the right to tryout.

Now the million dollar ? is will we keep him.

Obviously the kid has the talent having walked on before. What it is going to come down to is if Tressel believes he has the right attitude this time around. For a second chance, he has to prove he can do it off the field.

I have to think that if they let Skeete tryout--and those were in January, so he has survived cuts and will probably be on the Spring roster--then his talent will put him on or off the team in August.

As a student, Skeete could not be stopped from trying out, but if he was persona non grata, he would've been cut with the quickness.
