O.K., not really...I've just always wanted to do that (i.e., play the insider / breaker of 'good news')


Anyway, I take 'losses' of recruits we thought to be heading the Scarlet & Gray direction as poorly as anyone (and this one sucks), but at the same time I want kids who want to be Buckeyes (I know, not an original thought).

So with my not-so-insightful insights I say "Good Luck Mr. Barksdale, and bring on the next 'late-offered', 'unknown', 'surprise recruit', i.e Donald Washington, Brian Robiskie, diamond-in-the-rough-esque future Buckeye!"

I was actually frowning because I have to go to class today, but not getting Barksdale kinda sucks too, can't say I'm surprised after the roller coaster ride his recruitment has been though

It sounds like he has been silently committed to LSU ever since his visit there a "couple of weeks" ago. I guess this is one of the rare cases where location and firends on the team did not carry much weight...however i still hold out hope considering the twists and turn with Mr. Barksdale...

Winter quarter classes begin today.

Maybe I am being overly optimistic, but couldn't he mean starting spring quarter? In case some of you don't know, OSU is on a quarter system. Spring quarter starts March 26 at OSU.

Someone on another board said the fact that he is missing the start if classes isnt that big of a deal.. That he can enroll late..

I think were ok despite all the things that make us think otherwise.. I mean his mom did come with him to osu, not lsu...

LSU begins on the 16th, I believe. That would be more closely in line with the "few weeks" that Barksdale said. If he plans on enrolling for spring quarter at OSU (3-26), a "few months" would seem more appropriate.
