Under Armour All-American linebacker Jordan Hicks (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West), the No. 2 prospect on the ESPNU 150, is getting closer to selecting a college.
Hicks made official visits to Ohio State, Florida and Texas. He has decided against visiting USC and Alabama.
Hicks and his mother, Kelly Justice, will spend this week with family. Next week Hicks leaves for Orlando, Fla., and the Under Armour All-American Game, which will be played on Jan. 2 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.
After returning home in early January, Hicks expects in-home visits from Ohio State coach Jim Tressel and Florida coach Urban Meyer. Texas coach Mack Brown has already made his in-home visit with Hicks.
Justice said if all goes according to plan, her son will make his decision and announce it sometime in January. At this point Hicks is not sure exactly when that announcement will be or how it will be made.
