  • This dude doesn't even have a thread here, yet he's referenced often. Here's why: this bum should've been fired a decade earlier.

Saying these things again and again is unlikely to change anyone's mind. Day is very likely to be 1 - 1 against tcun and maybe 3 - 1 when the cheating scandal turns its NCAA corner. In any case, he won't be fired in the next year. However, all of this pantytwisting is very likely to cause some good recruits to cool on tOSU and give tcun boards much to laugh about. This fanbase is supposed to be better than that. This is not bucknuts.

At today's National Championship victory celebration, Coach Day gave a shoutout to all the former OSU head coaches who gave him counsel during the season, including John Cooper.

How different might Cooper be perceived if he coached during today's era when 1 upset loss doesn't keep you from being able to win the national title? All the heat Ryan Day got at the end of this season was to me very reminiscent of the angst and ire that fans had for John Cooper, but Day got the chance to redeem himself that Cooper never really had.

The difference is cooper tended to fail in the bowl games too. But beating jake the Snake was a good time

But love how all the choices stick around the program even coop

I suspect he has a tape loop of Jake the Snake cheering from the edge of the field and then fading into the sidelines to the bench as Joe Germaine cut his team to pieces.

Good example. Florida lost to their rival on the same day we lost to ours in 1996. But they got a rematch and we got to play Arizona State. In a 4 team playoff, we would have gotten to play Florida for the title. Probably would have had a shot in a 4 team playoff in 1998 as well.

He would have lost no matter who we played.
