John Cooper (former head coach, 2-10-1)

I'm not going to go full Jax on Coop, who I deem to have been an improvement over Earle and credit with beginning the modernization and nationalization of a then-stagnant regional program, but the only place where he's a legend is Ann Arbor.
Yes he was a definite improvement over Earle who tried his best to bury the program.

The program has been a national player ever since 1993. Starting with Cooper

Bullshit. He left it as flat lined as he found it.

‘99 and ‘00 were pedestrian at best. Losing to teams like Purdue and Minnesota.

He had a great run from ‘95-‘98. Even managed to win 1 Big Ten title and a Rose Bowl.

That was it. That’s the apex.
