Jim Tressel (National Champion, ex-President, Youngstown State University, CFB HOF)

I will choose to remember all the good......those 5 players and any others that did things they should not have done need to realize that these things effect the guys at the top. Imho this guy cant be replaced. I will miss him. Go Bucks

This is tragic.
Not to the program, which will rebound - if not sooner then later.

This is tragic that the perception and legacy of such a truly good man will be forever tarnished - at least outside of buckeye nation.

Going forward, I hope the University doesn't turn their back on him and allows him to follow his plan/wish to become a teacher after his coaching days were over.

I also hope that current and former players' voices are given an appropriate volume level by the media to paint their picture of coach Tressel and present it to the world, but I'm not gonna hold my breath on that one.

Coach Tress, thank you for all you've done not only for this great football program, but also for our university. You truely are one of the classiest guys to coach the game and to be at the top at this football program. The memeories you've given me since you've come to Columbus, I will never forget. Thank you and good luck in the future. We will miss you.

Wow.

What a tragic turn of events. We were riding high last November and within 6 months our whole program has turned a 180.

This is rough. Can't believe JT won't be roaming the sideline ever again. Never could have imagined this. :(

The sports media is a bastion of lukewarm self-righteousness. Do they actually do anything positive to build young people's character, or make their communities better places-absolutely not. They sit back and self righteously troll for targets and pat themselves on the back on twitter, while not doing a damn bit of good for the world or the athletes they cover. Congratulations-they got what they wanted.
Honestly, this is what I feared would happen when the story broke-JT isn't the type to fight fire w/ fire, or publically beg for forgiveness. Here's to the best football coach ever at tOSU. I love you JT.
