Ohio State's Tressel feels pressure from demands on time

Jim Tressel typically gets asked about his coaching future when Ohio State is preparing to play Penn State and everyone wants to know whether he'll continue coaching, like Joe Paterno, into his 80s.
Tressel always says no. His future likely will more closely resemble Michigan coach Lloyd Carr, who retired Monday at age 62.
"Thirteen years in a pressure cooker like Michigan, everyone deserves to retire when they go through that," Tressel said Tuesday night.
In town for the 56th annual OSU Football Appreciation Banquet, Tressel, in his seventh season at Ohio State, certainly didn't have retirement on his mind. But he admitted the topic has been broached during contract discussions with former athletic director Andy Geiger and current AD Gene Smith.
"The thing I've always talked about is I only want to do it as long as I'm the best guy for the job," said Tressel, "so I'm hoping it's a while, but that's up to them."
One possible guide is Tressel's current contract, which was extended last year.

How Long Will Tressel Coach At OSU?
Ohio State's Jim Tressel will turn 55 next week and is currently in his 22nd year as a head coach, including his seventh at OSU. Tressel has certainly earned the right to go out on his own terms. But just how much longer does he want to coach? He has five years left on his contract. But could it be another 10 years or more? We had a chance to speak with Tressel on that very subject recently.

Kelvin (Dayton): True or False: Tressel will win Ohio State at least 1 more national title.
