Q: Do you want to see them play Florida after what happened earlier this year?
A: First have to beat a great Georgetown team, UCLA is also a great program. Playing Florida would provide with many interesting story lines.

This is how that last question should've gone.

Interwiewer: Do you want to see them play Florida after what happened earlier this year?
JT: What do you mean?

Interwiewer: I mean what happened on January 8th.
JT: I don't know what you're talking about.

Interwiewer: The BCS Championship game?
JT: Never happened. Ummmm...I have to go.

COLUMBUS ? Jim Tressel didn't sign any autographs for the 1,500 in attendance at his annual OSU football spring preview to benefit the Alzheimer's Association on Wednesday, but one Centerville resident managed to get the Ohio State coach's signature in a surprise meeting before the event.
Mark MacDonald, a 24-year-old quadriplegic, fulfilled a longtime dream when he was introduced to Tressel outside his office.

Buckeye fans Brent and Kattie Huffines of Logan hold their first-born son, Tressel Hayes Huffines.

When Buckeye fan Brent Huffines found out his wife was pregnant, he knew only one name would do: Tressel Hayes. "Tressel Hayes Huffines -- sounds as sweet as an OSU victory over Michigan," Huffines, 27, of Logan, said yesterday while cradling the 3-day-old boy in the neonatal intensive care unit at Ohio State University Medical Center.

Ehh, I just don't know about all of that. I can see pets, hell I even have a "Brutus" tattoo, but now you are saddling someone else, who knows, maybe the kid grows up and goes to San Diego State... To each his (or her) own, I just can't say I agree with it.

Well, the poor mite at least isn't laboring under the moniker Vaughn Hernstein Cooper Huffines.

Eh, there are worse names you could saddle a kid with:

Schembechler Moeller Carr for example. :(

Oosterbaan (scUM '48-'58) ? Sheesh!

Frankly I kind of wonder what that could do down the line. Will the kid resent his parents for saddling him these names. As noted, maybe he goes to SDSU....or maybe he gets an offer for an academic full ride to Michigan.

I guess you could say the parents are dedicated but it also kind of pigen-holes the kid IMO.

FWIW, the byline of the article names "Encarnacion Pyle" the author of this. Encarnacion Pyle? Seriously? WTF? Somebody named Encarnacion Pyle is writing an article on other peoples' odd baby name choices?
