Jim Tressel (National Champion, ex-President, Youngstown State University, CFB HOF)

How long before the Cleveland Browns hire JT??? I mean JFC they've had every idiot jack wagon ass hat [censored]ing moron as Head Coach since getting back in '99

Probably won't happen but whatever.

It's his hometown team, but I don't think Jim Tressel would take the job just for the scrutiny, not that Pat Shurmur is knocking it out of the park.

I always saw Tressel working as an educator for some reason when he finished coaching. It can't be at Ohio State, but I don't know why Baldwin-Wallace wouldn't let him instruct a course.

Bruce Pearl gets three years' show cause.

Jim Tressel gets five years' show cause.

Yeah, that sounds really equitable to me.

The USC coach got one.

But there is a method Max.

I'm not sure if I'm saying this right but I think JT's 5 year show clause does not include no recruiting...whereas Pearl's 3 year show clause includes no recruiting, making him effectively "unhireable"...

Tressel's show cause requires any hiring member school within the 5 year period to show cause why Tressel should miss coaching the team during fall camp, miss the first 5 regular season games, and miss any bowl game in the first year of coaching. The school must also submit a detailed plan setting forth the procedures in place to assure Tressel's compliance with NCAA bylaws. The school would need to submit 6 month progress reports. Pearl's show cause requires any hiring member school within the 3 year period to show cause why Pearl should be permitted to recruit at the school. The school would likewise be required to submit a detailed plan setting forth procedures to assure Pearl's compliance with NCAA recruiting bylaws. The school would also be required to submit 6 month progress reports.

im all for this.

I'm not even a Browns fan and I'm all for it. Tressel coaching Cleveland would be interesting and I'm guessing the majority of the fan base would support it.

The Colts should be one of them......

Although I actually heard someone report today on one of the NFL shows that they didn't think Caldwell would get fired because the team had played hard for him....:slappy:oh that's a good one......

Rumored that the St. Louis Rams will be looking for a new coach.
