Unfortunately, I think the only gag order that will come from all of this is the gag order Tress forced upon Michigan while they took it in the mouth from him for 10 years.

They were the ones who gave a glowing reference for Ohio State to hire Gene Smith, get close to Tress and then wham, throw him under the bus. :biggrin:

It is over in the eyes of the NCAA and that is all that matters when it concerns Jim Tressel and coaching Ohio State.

Tressel in Town to Raise Money for Rayen Stadium

While raising $3 million may seem like a tall task in this economy, members of the Rayen Stadium Renovation Project say it's not impossible, especially when one of the co-chairs is former Youngstown State University and Ohio State head football coach Jim Tressel.

"This is an exciting campaign for a lot of reasons," Tressel said.

He said he couldn't refuse the place he called home for 15 years. And one of the top reasons is to give the athletes in the city a home of their own.

"In order for someone to progress they have to feel like they have hope," said Tressel. "Whether it's the Youngstown East Panthers or a middle school or a girls' soccer team or whatever it happens to be. But to have a place to call home I think is very important."

KENT, Ohio ? With the blimp floating overhead, spotlights piercing the dark sky, a national television audience and former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel in attendance, Dix Stadium had the feel of a big-time collegefootballgame Friday night. And the ending fit the occasion.

The blimp and spotlights were to dress up the place for an 8 p.m. kickoff on ESPN2. Tressel made the trip in support of his former receivers coach, Kent State first-year head coach Darrell Hazell.
