IMHO, it says more about what they think JB can bring off the bench...if Pryor was not benched for at least a series last week (which I definitely think should have happened) it is telling about what is behind him.

LOL I would agree with that but never the less you are not looking to bench him to replace him juat to tell him he needs to get his head in the game. I think we can survive a series with whoever he puts in there as a backup.

So if JB comes in and engineers a scoring drive, how do you justify pulling the hot hand?

In the heat of the moment I was all for sitting Pryor for a bit. Not having any inside information about how Bauserman is practicing but the risk/reward outcome tilts very heavy to High risk.

Bauserman is not the long term answer or short term answer and could only muddy the waters and destroy any positive they have built with Pryor. Face it ,Tress is 100% committed to Pryor hand and he is going to play this hand regardless of what situation.

I agree with you. But I can't help but wonder how the coaches managed to convince Bauserman to stay a Buckeye last off season if they never had any intentions of playing him no matter what. Must have been a pretty impressive sell.

I don't. In fact I don't pull him. This doesn't mean Pryor is going to loose his starting spot but if hwe has a game like he did last week and JB comes in and does the job so be it. It is what is best for the team not just Pryor. Persoanlly I think Pryor needs to grow up a bit and if a little competition does that than great.

JT did not hestitate to bench a 5th (or was it 6th) year senior to start a freshman. So why not sit pryor for a bit if he is not getting the job done. It is better than watching him out there trying to do to much.

Perfect answer.

Excellent points, now where do Navy recruits compare with OSU recruits? didn't this board (myself included) have a heyday out of Notre Dame's capture of the Commander's Cup? Spare me the "they play an offense teams don't see," comments. The bucks were outplayed that day and I, we wrote it off as, "They were looking ahead."

Outplayed by Navy? Not even close. Navy played their best possible game and was lucky to make it look that close at the end. Dobbs put up some solid numbers that game (which were seriously inflated on the passing end by one play), but he was the beneficiary of a well-executed system that gave him those numbers.

Ummm were we watching different games?? Ohio State wasn't outplayed the entire day or even more than half of it.

Ohio State relaxed when Bauserman came in when it was 17-7. The game looked to be well in hand at that point.

And if JT kicks the FG to make it 32-14 in the 4th quarter, it is quite likely we never even hear about how Ohio State was "outplayed" that day.

Matt Barkley is playing behind a "young line" and is a "true freshman."

ummm no - USC returned a VERY good line this year. That was their strength coming into the season, that are their running backs.

Listening to Speilman today on The Fan he recanted stories of Earle Bruce and Woody Hayes, reaming and even firing position coaches for players lacking execution. Bollman is highly failing at his job, he isn't correcting the lines mistakes. Sicliano, seemingly isn't getting things to where they need to be either. It's been said, the talent is there, 90% of these kids were recruited by the best of the best. It is really on Tressel to get on these coaches asses to get it done, bottom line.
