the kid from Baylor before he got hurt...
Which game blew you away...

his 15-24 136 yds 1 td 13 rush 41 yds 3.2 ypc 0 td performance against wake? Including a costly fumble deep in their end of the field? The backs carried Baylor that day and held on as Wake surged back.

Or the loss to Connecticut where he went 17-26 for 119 yds 0 td? Or rushed 10 times for 20 yds w/ 2 tds? 15 of that came on 1 run, and the TDs were 5 & 1 yd runs.

He beat up on Nobody St in week 3 and never played another snap.

I like Robert as a player and he outperformed Terrelle last year, but acting like Robert was impressive before he was hurt simply doesn't pass the smell test.

And as far as true sophomores, there is Jacory Harris, Blaine Gabbert...and that's about it.
Neither of which have any comparison to Terrelle, though Jacory's name comes up constantly on other sites discussing Pryor.

Thanks. Give me more Hazell. His fingerprints are obvious and encouraging, but his role has diminished in recent weeks. Is he Norm Chow? No, but he also doesn't upset the apple cart, and his approach addresses many of the flaws in the current offense.

So, the dark underbelly of Tressel ball is a 2 loss season, where at the time of the second loss, the Buckeyes still control their own destiny for the Big Ten Title?

the dark underbelly if Tresselball is a losing season. several of them DID happen at YSU. i've said it before and i'll say it again. Ohio State has more talent than 83% if it's opponents. i'll let you extrapolate on that.

Not gonna happen this year. OSU would have to lose out.... not happening.

I enjoy this role reversal that has continued into today. What does YSU's capability for multiple losing seasons have to do with OSU? Are you really suggesting that could happen here?

I like how you say that as though 83% is a bad thing.

3 losing seasons out of 15, two of them in his first three and the other between his last 2 NCs there. If you think an OSU losing season is a realistic possibility for JT at OSU, you're extrapolating a bit much.

3 of 15= several. I would love to see what the next level up is...lol.

I believe Pete Carroll's 85% win percentage is best among active coaches, or google lied again. That's awfully close to JT's 83%, and I'd wager their conference slate & home bowl games is probably worth the other 2% difference.

USC has more talent than 100% of their opponents.

TP was trying to put the ball away on both fumbles not pitch it away. His only extremely bad decision was the pick over Carter. The offense was coming together more than people want to say it was. I was thinking the same things you are until I re-watched the game. If you have the ability I would highly reccomend it. Actually to anyone. Not that the offense was stellar, but they definitly started finding themselves and were a play here or there from having 30 points again. This game was closer than the 23-7 score in the 3rd. I always slow plays down and dig thru the games to see if my assumptions are off. The WR's and TP started hitting strides and we went away from the run too early which could have helped in the end.

I have re-watched the game. Sometimes the DVR is a bitch as when it yields the same results. The truth of the game from my viewpoint was that Purdue wouldn't let our offense get on the field and our offense couldn't produce any first downs to give the D a rest. And it wasn't just time of possession, it was the fact that they kept getting points out of TOP. In re-watching how do you explain the TD toss to Posey as anything other than undeserved good fortune?
