Jim Bollman (Stay calm and run Dave)

JFC guys. It's not like JT couldn't have overruled every Dave call. I know the lack of offense stuck in your craw, but the guy didn't hire himself.

Let it go. Please.

I know what your saying but my beef was more with the performance of the offensive line. Maybe not as terrible as some say but it left a lot to be desired and that shouldn't happen at OSU. But, like you said, he didn't hire himself. Now, where is that Nick Siciliano thread?

I hear ya. I just feel like he gets more shit than he deserves. Whatever his shortcomings, he was the OC during one of, if not the best era in tOSU history. His superior felt he deserved to remain employed. Any fault after year two rests squarely on JT's shoulders, in my imo. Dude's been gone for two years. Time to look to the future. I know when I look back, I tend to focus on the greatness.

I do think it would be hilarious if Sparty started lighting up the scoreboard this year.

Could very well happen. It wouldn't surprise me to see them in the B1G Conference Championship game, They have a very favorable B1G schedule in not playing Ohio State, Wisky, and Ped State this year. They may only have 2 tough conference games (i.e. at Huskers and scUM).

No real bitterness here, I am just having fun. Can't really blame him for his ineptitude and it is not like he didn't try. That video just killed me. As for lighting it up on offense? They lost half of their OL and Bell. Their WRs are terrible and Maxwell cannot hit the broad side of a barn. The offensive mind of our generation couldn't keep that ship from sinking, let alone Jim Bollman. Almost every year I am overly optimistic for MSU but not this year.

Michigan State's Mark Dantonio praises assistants Jim Bollman, Rob Burton
June 9, 2013
By Joe Rexrode
Detroit Free Press Sports Writer

For college football coaches, evaluation is a year-round exercise. For Michigan State coaches, this is the time of year to look at each player on the team and the basics of next season?s opponents ? along with the usual film of prospective recruits.

?That?s the beauty, I guess, nowadays, you?re never quite finished,? coach Mark Dantonio said this past week at a Detroit Economic Club event downtown. ?There?s always one more thing to look at or one more thing to talk about.?

Dantonio also must evaluate his assistants, and so far he gives high marks to the newcomers. MSU hired Jim Bollman as co-offensive coordinator after Dan Roushar left for the New Orleans Saints, and Ron Burton as defensive line coach after Ted Gill was let go in the off-season.

?Both those guys, Coach Bollman and Coach Burton, have just sort of refreshed us,? Dantonio said. ?They?ve brought a freshness to our staff. I think that happens when you change a little bit. They?ve brought some new ideas and some different ties. Coach Bollman certainly in Ohio, Coach Burton certainly in the Chicago area. He?s done a very good job early in the recruiting process.

?But both guys are a lot like the rest of our staff. They?re extremely energetic and self-motivated. Very innovative in the way they approach things.?
