To me its pretty simple

The states of Ohio and M*ch*gan declared war on each other in 1835. The two states have continued that war on the football field for over 100 years. That makes them a rival.

Some fuckhead middle of the road B1G program that can only field a good team once every 4-5 years doesn't get to be a rival be it Iowa, Purdue, Penn State or anyone else.

How many seasons have been saved because tOSU beat psu?
There is a thread on this fucking board with a poll question that asks "Would you rather win an NC or beat TSUN? " TSUN week starts when the last second ticks off the clock from the game before. I've given blood to beat tsun. TSUNS best players come from Ohio. PSU's best come from...Jersey? Not really sure.

Reminds me of the time I was in State College for 2005. One of my brother's friends had a brother who happened to be Brady Quinn's center in high school......which means he was from Columbus. A dipshit Penn State fan turns to us and asks him what the feel was all week in Columbus. He didn't understand the question. The dipshit had to explain how the town was just electric all week long and how everybody was talking about it. The guy from Columbus said "Oh. It's just another game back home."

Because it's just another game for us. Try as hard as you want, you don't have our respect and you're just another game.

I understand your view that a rivalry should be a two way street and I think it albeit maybe in its infant stage. I know you disagree and that is your opinion and I respect that.
