Just count your lucky stars that Nike decided to go "retro" with our jersies rather than that "futuristic" virus they've sent to Oregon, Florida, and Va Tech. Those futuristic jersies only work once every three years or so (see Miami or BYU).
Us Buckeyes pride ourselves on tradition, and it's hard for us to see one of our proudest traditions, the very armor our warriors wear, change. As far as many of us are concerned, it was perfect the way it was, and there's no use in changing something that was already perfect- especially for the simple switch to Nike's dri-fit material.
I think a lot of us are still pretty shocked by how ugly those "replica jersies" are. In my mind though, those game jersies aren't that bad. I'd rather they kept the stripes we've had the past 20 years, but bringing back the old stripes brings back memories of my first Buckeye games at the Horseshoe. Though I'm skeptical how long this change will last, I welcome bringing back an old winning tradition of Buckeye lore. I mean, when you think about it, how many national championships did we win in the post 85-86 jersies? And how many national championships did we win in the old "retro" jersies under Woody? That's a winning tradition as far as I'm concerned. Hell, Woody might give a little smile up there seeing his boys wearing the old duds again. Now bring back the old grey basketball uni's while you're at it, Nike :)
Extra food for thought: The last time Miami won a national championship, it was the year that Nike changed their jersies. Coincidence?? I think not.

And for all of you that are still pissed off at the new "ugly jersies", then DON'T BUY THEM and TELL YOUR FRIENDS NOT TO WHILE YOU'RE AT IT!! Nike will get the message. It's seriously that simple... and I think they're gonna get that message here in a few months when those ugly replicas aren't selling like they hoped
