Jersey / Uniform Discussion (OSU)

Does anyone know if the gloves would be available for the public to buy? I wouldn't mind picking up a pair just to have them.

nike gloves Football :: Search Results on Eastbay.com

They are on there, but when I clicked on them it redirected me to the home page. I don't know what's going on with that.

Also, right now they are $45, which is pretty steep considering I bought the same gloves, but in orange, from eastbay about a month ago.

... Winners don't have to change uniforms to keep fans interested.
And where do you find anyone saying that this whole business has anything to do with "keeping fans interested?" It has SFA to do with anything but selling Nike product! I thought that should be evident to anyone. And as I've said elsewhere, I have no problem at all with that, given how much Nike contributes to the success of our athletic program. It's simply a quid pro quo.

If you want to root for a program with nothing but tradition, let me suggest Otterbein. On the other hand, if you want to root for a winner, look for schools with massive Nike (or Adidas, or Reebok) contracts, such as The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Which is funny, because inctly remember them wearing white pants in the Astroturf era.
On the road, yes, but at home?

Part of my schadenfraude hypothetical involves white and blue helmets, however unlikely. I have to see that to believe it.

Maybe they are waiting on the teams to use them. Keep me updated if they ever become available, so that I can buy a pair. Hell I might just call up eastbay and buy them.

They have squandered the OSU brand here.
What team are these uniforms for? It certainly doesn't read OSU.

This is more XFL than OSU. Those who signed off on this or sold it through made a big mistake.
These don't read "throwback" AT ALL, they read Oregon Nike Guinea Pig awful.

This is OHIO STATE and they should know they shouldn't be so heavy handed with the brand and basic scheme.

writing Gene Smith now.

Folks, the Buckeyes are playing Penn State tomorrow, with a win needed to stay on track for the Rose Bowl.

The fashion discussion can continue after that game is over.

I don't like light beer, and I probably feel at least as strongly about that, but Anheuser-Busch doesn't give a flying fuck how I feel about that.
A sharp and persuasive comparison, in a thread unworthy of male attention no less.

Change the black outline of the numerals to gray, and get rid of the netting shit on the shoulder tops, and the jersey wouldn't be that bad, albeit nothing like the 1954 jersey.

You assume correctly - after giving blood yesterday morning, I took it easy. I've watched 7 football games in the last 24 hours (minus the last 10 minutes of the Tenn-SCar game, which I didn't get on the DVR).

what's the deal with the pattern on the shoulders??? any reason behind it?

according to the Florida State promo video, it has something to do with reinforcing the new lighter weight fabric in a contact area (or something like that)... why they couldn't just make it white like the rest of the uniform is beyond me, Nike is obsessed with putting stupid shit on the shoulders of their new uniforms or something
