And then you foolishly said "they could really use the extra money". Thats why I said root for someone else. Big programs require a lot of money to stay elite. Deal with it

Person with means: Hey, BKB, if you sell this new style widget I will pay you Eleventy billion dollars
BKB: Well, I don't know.... will it offend the sensibilities of traditional widget buyers? Because, you know.. if it does, I don't think it's fair for me to make eleventy billion dollars... I already have a lot of money, after all. And, you do too, you know.
Person with means: Well, you do make a good point. We stood to maybe make double what we were gonna pay you, but... I mean.. we DO have plenty of money already.

I'd like to see a tally of how many of these alternative jerseys were sold (I saw at least a few fans in the student section wearing them) and how much the university actually made.

I doubt it's a per uniform deal....but is instead a contractual/licensing matter. To that end, Nike and Ohio State did ink a 252 million dollar deal last January. I am not sure who bears the risk of poor individual sales, but I would anticipate that it is Nike who does.

That number won't be accurate for a while. I doubt people rushed to get jerseys, but will get them over time. Same with the black out jerseys. A lot weren't worn the night of(if I recall) but now they're all over campus you see them at every game in the stands.
