I never said I didn't like an alternate jersey, did I? I said that the jersey featured above looks like ass. It does, Im not going to sugar coat my feelings on a shitty jersey, lol. If your personal style is rocking knock-off OSU apparel that looks like something out of the XFL, good for you. My opinion is that if you are going to do an alternate OSU uniform, at least include the school colors. We're not Oregon, Boise, or some other fucking flash-in-the-pan, recent success story program. We have over a hundred years of tradition to live up to. So lets hope the Buckeyes don't sell out our legendary, tradition-rich status over a game featuring black jerseys - that ps. are played out now that seemingly every damn MAC and WAC schools have worn. Black jerseys are like saying "bling" or "YOLO", its over, find something new.

I never said I'd buy that jersey. Of course a thorough beating of a quality opponent might change my mind. I don't think a 100 years of tradition gets wiped out because we might wear a black jersey, that's just silly talk.

You're correct, it wouldn't. But why even start. I'd rather the team come out dressed as a Buckeye tree with a helmet resembling a Brutus head, than I would all black uni's.

WHOA! WHOA! WHOA! GUYS!! I didn't intend to start a meltdown here, especially on GAMEDAY!! The point of my post was find out if anyone else had seen these, because it's the first time I have ever seen Nike produce a black one. The wife saw it, she liked it, so I bought it for her. It's not what I would buy for myself.........Now I feel like I have to defend my honor and traditionalism, so I have no choice but to post MY ugly mug in MY gameday attire...........hopefully no broken monitors as a result! (that's the WIFE'S desk area by the way, not mine)

Wearing alternates Saturday against Wisky & away at scUM.. and possibly one more home game..

Land-Grant Holy Land can confirm that Ohio State will be wearing Nike Rivalry uniforms against Wisconsin and Michigan this season. Rivals' Andrew Holleran first reported the Wisconsin news yesterday and Buckeye Sports Bulletin's Ben Axelrod reported that a Nike rep told him Ohio State would be wearing a red rivalry jersey against Wisconsin and another home game (possibly Penn State?), as well as a white one during the team's regular season finale against Michigan.

A Nike source tells Land-Grant Holy Land that Nike produced two versions of the Rivalry uniforms last year. One was obviously worn during the team's 26-21 victory over Michigan, while the other wasn't ultimately utilized, but was available in case the team elected to wear them on the road. The source went on to clarify that this has been standard practice in other years (which explains why you see photos of the original Nike Pro Combat uniforms floating around in red though the team only ever wore them in white).
