From Letterman's row article:

“It’s more a combination of things that are a better fit for me and my future. The mechanical engineering program and the ties they have with the automotive industry are one of the main reasons, but also the football program has always been at an elite level.

Sounds like he just said better academics and elite football.

“Their attention to detail with training, nutrition, recovery, injury prevention and mentorship is something I have never seen before. I also felt a chemistry between the players and a culture that they live by which is very familiar to me. It’s something my high school team has that makes us champions. Each player works for the guy next to him, not just for themselves.”

Never seen the level of training, nutrition, recovery, injury prevention and mentoring huh? That's odd given his familiarity with Penn State.

“I have always been taught that everything happens for a reason. And when the offer to play for Ohio State presented itself, after my Penn State commitment, I knew that it was an opportunity I could not overlook. It has always been a dream offer of mine that at the time I didn’t think I would ever receive.”

Seems like we are back to the whole "elite vs not elite" thing. Who am I to argue with Franklin?

I am not fluent in "Penn State" so I need help parsing this statement from Audibles:

"The PSU blocking scheme is friendlier to guys who aren't great, and handicaps guys who are."

Also, for those celebrating the recruitment of Toutant, some folks at PSU have seen him with his shirt off and he is not going to be all that good. (Sorry I can't find the exact quote on this one.)

Finally, I just took a peak at Scout's team rankings and if you look closely at the Michigan logo at #19 there is a small dent. I believe this was caused by the rapid fall of the PSU logo to #18.

The world has seen horse whisperers and QB whisperers, the fine folks of central PA are well known to be the worlds foremost bare chested men(well boys mostly) whisperers.

I'd listen to them.
