FWIW,
Jack Nicklaus can relate to Jameis Winston’s autograph plight
Jack Nicklaus isn't unbiased when it comes to college football. Nicklaus' grandson Nick O'Leary is a star tight end for Florida State, and Nicklaus attends numerous Seminoles games.
As somebody who follows college football is wont to do, Nicklaus has an opinion on No. 5, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.
He told the Palm Beach Post last week that everybody needs to lay off Jameis Winston, specifically regarding the questions swirling around whether Winston was paid for his autograph.

Re: On Friday, FSU Athletic Director Stan Wilcox issued a statement saying that the university has found no evidence that Winston has been paid for autographing memorabilia.

Of course he failed to mention that they really didn't look for any either.
Seriously Jack? So a kid could have a couple thousand autographs given to probably hundreds of different people, most probably young children. Then half of those signatures (roughly 1k) ALL end up being authenticated by the same company? Uh like really Jack?“I wonder how many autographs I have out there. Every game I go to I sign, probably 20 or 25 (people) and four or five each. Start adding that up. And he’s a lot more available than I am. He’s not the only kid with a couple thousand out there. A bunch of those kids have to have a couple thousand.”

Betcha Jack had a few impermissible benefits during his time in Columbus. He can probably relate in many ways.Seriously Jack? Oh, come now... Jameis was just doing it out of the goodness of his heart.Talk about transparent... Winston throws to his nephew... Uh, hello?
And let's not forget... on the signing, there were huge numbers that were SEQUENTIAL, and other dealers have said, from their experience, it looked like they were all signed at the same time, at an autographing sit-down.
Sometimes the older these former stars get the more opinionated and seemingly stupid drivel flows from their mouths. Being an avid golfer, I have always been a big fan of Jacks. That said he has a penchant for being an ass at times.Maybe it can be chalked up to having lived a pretty privileged life himself.
My admiration quotient for Jack stays a lot higher when I maintain a tunnel-vision focus on just what he's done on golf courses.
