Jameis Winston (QB Browns)

Re: Title IX suggests a school's investigation into any report of sexual misconduct should be completed within 60 days, but Florida State did not meet with Winston until January 2014, which was more than a year after the alleged assault. Baine Kerr, another Title IX attorney representing the woman, told USA Today in April that FSU had suspended its investigation into Winston partly because he refused to cooperate.

If that is true they should prosecute (or at least discipline) the FSU officials responsible.

Does he even have the right to refuse to cooperate with a school investigation? Can't the school terminate their relationship with him for violation of the student code of conduct? I realize that won't and didn't happen here of course.

I was reading an article yesterday, the accusers attorney said this

Clune, the accuser’s lawyer, said Florida State had “assured us the proceeding would go forward, but what the time frame would be and what exactly that means we’ll have to wait and see.”

He added: “There are some good people who want to do the right thing on one side of campus, then you have one of the most powerful athletic departments in the country on the other side of the campus with the No. 1 football team in the nation. I think we will find out pretty quickly how that struggle will shake out.”

He's basically calling them out for what they are... I'm curious to see how this plays out.

In a normal situation that would work. The athletic department is running the university. So, there is going to be a big clash. It will be ugly.

I'll spare you the suspense...the AD will say Jameis has served his time by missing a couple of baseball games.
I would have to see pix of the girl again to make that call. If she is like a 6 or 7 - average for a baseball groupie - that might suffice. But if she is a hard core 9 or 10, he needs to miss some football.
