Jameis Winston (QB Browns)

Rape charge, shoplifting, and to think these are things he was CAUGHT doing. I'm sure he's slept with other girls forcibly and taken things from stores before and nothing was mentioned. I hope that he has learned his lesson, but with his dad asking for 24/7 bodyguard service, the writing seems to be on the wall that Winston's ego is approaching Johnny Football status, and may surpass it. It's hard to expect Winston's family to now rein him in when he's a Heisman and NC winner and is 20yo, and in another year will be e primary bread winner for the entire family(if he can keep his nose clean). Thing is, I don't think he realizes yet, that all of these accomplishments can go up in a cloud of smoke and he'd be just another cautionary tale if he doesn't start making better decisions.

The father wants a 24X7 guard.. so that Winston can hand the crab legs to the bodyguard to walk out with... thus keeping him clean
and the program can say, it was just Winston developing his hand off skills.. a clear focus on not always running himself

From watching the security video I don't see how the "I forgot to pay for the crab legs" excuse works. Is he just used to walking out of stores with stuff he didn't walk in with without paying and someone forgot to tell Publix? Dude will be in jail by the time he's 30.

If you could place a wager on this in Las Vegas; I'll "bet the ranch" on YES.

Jimbo on Jameis: ‘you have to be responsible for your own actions’

Thursday, Winston’s head coach Jimbo Fisher was asked about the father’s assumption that somebody should, essentially, be babysitting the 20-year-old redshirt sophomore 24/7/365. To Fisher’s credit, he put more of the onus on the player than on the football program or his family.

“To keep someone on somebody 24 hours a day is a very difficult situation,” Fisher told the Palm Beach Post. “You enable them if you’re not careful. You still have to be responsible for your own actions.

“We will always monitor our players and we have to monitor him more because he does get more attention. But at the same time he has to be his own man and be able to do the things he has to do.”

Personal responsibility and accountability? What a concept, especially when it comes to the most recognizable player in not only your program but in college football as a whole. During his brief time in Tallahassee, Winston’s had four run-ins with the law. While most were relatively innocuous, one painted the player and the university in a very negative light even as no charges were filed.

Wow I totally forgot about the BB gun incident also. FSU is taking cover ups to new heights.

The tally so far (that we know of):

$5000 in windows damage while having a BB gun fight with other football players. FSU refused to press any charges and dismissed any punishments.

"Allegedly" raped a co-ed and the police department and FSU authorities completely sweep it under the rug.

Shoplifts $35 dollars in seafood from the Publix grocery. Suspended 3 games FROM BASEBALL team and charges dismissed.

This is your Heisman Trophy winner folks.

Archie must be wanting to hang himself at this point for being associated with this POS!
