Ohio State needs to do everything in its' power to make this happen. Jon is the Buckeyes' all-time 3-point record holder, right? Going to a former NOL foe of theirs', all you'd hear about is how great of season we'd had before inevitably going up against either (or both) of the Dieblers that would end our run. Heck, I even think Jon broke the all-time scoring record on our court. There's so much positivity and energy that having both Diebler brothers on the coaching staff would mean.

Too soon old, too late smart
Wasn't thinking quite along those lines, but betcha the asst coaches are breathing a sigh of relief with Diebs #2 becoming HC. Do wonder how many will get to stay, and how many will be on the streets. Never really certain about the asst relationships on a team, maybe the assignments of bigs, guards, defensive and offensive sets evens things out. Gotta believe that if Diebs #1 is ready to put away his dream (NBA), he could make more coin and build a home as a Buckeye coach for his brother. Guess we'll stay tuned to the show. The OSU NIL collectives put out a very positive statement in response to Diebler's hiring. Seems they have already worked together & plan to enhance that work to win championships. Sounds good to me, but they might need to drop bags for a couple transfers that can score at a high level if they really plan on having a contender next season.

One thing I did read was that the Ohio HS coaches were in approval of Diebler's hiring. Probably most came because of his dad, a longtime HS bball coach in Ohio. Hopefully that augers well for the Buckeyes keeping some of the home state talent local. (we have one Ohio commit, #5). Have watched a lot of talent go to the blue bloods, rather than spend it here, but that will take a while to turn around. Anyone know why Taisman didn't suit up for Illinois? Would hate to lose that guy to the portal.

Agreed. Only $25k for winning the big ten? $100k for a Final Four? Seems to be a low financial incentive for a school that has had tremendous issues in these achievements. Besides, we’re talking about a head coach, not some assistant.

I'm OK with it. He wins the B1G, gets to a FF or wins it all, and that contract is going to be torn up very quickly. He'll get paid.
