To be fair, if they saw it as a job that had been approved by Compliance, there's understandable confusion regarding whether it was legitimate.

However, the timing is pretty crappy.

I think all confusion should've been cleared up when they were handed an envelope of cash.

I'm not buying the confusion angle.. pretty sure they need written permission from the university before going to something like this. They didn't have that, they clearly weren't sure if they were actually working at it or not, and they were given an envelope of cash. Nothing about any of that seems like a legitimate way for an athlete to get money. Just my opinion. Given the recent issues surrounding the program, I'm baffled.

& I think it's fucking bullshit. Miami players, Cam Newton, etc., etc. and these guys are out 2 games for $200??

But I also thinks its bullshit these guys took money, while we were being investigated..

I don't care who gets the death penalty now..

tOSU just issued another statement - these 3 players have NOT been cleared by the NCAA and will NOT play tomorrow.

So the NCAA gets around to reinstating the Miami players (most of whom took benefits in excess of Brown, Hall, and Howard) and only were suspended 1 game. Yet, the NCAA drags its feet on the OSU guys, effectively suspending them for 2 games. That seems fair. :roll2:

Hmm. Better safe than sorry I guess. I thought it was strange that tOSU re-instated them and not the NCAA. Have they ruled that they won't re-instate them or have they just not made a decision yet?

I guess we'll see more from Berry now that Hall is still out, but I'd like to see what kinds of ways they want to get Jordan involved in the offense.

:smash: How long did it take to reinstate Cam again?

Nov. 30: Ruled ineligible by Auburn

Dec. 1: Immediately ruled eligible by the NCAA

NCAA statement on ineligible Ohio State football student-athletes

Contrary to recent media reports, Ohio State football student-athletes Corey Brown, Jordan Hall and Travis Howard are not cleared to compete in the game on Saturday with University of Toledo. The nature and scope of their violations merit a minimum two-game suspension. In addition, the facts submitted by the university have raised further questions that need to be answered before the reinstatement process is complete.
