iPhone/iPad App Recommendations & Reviews

Ratebeer's app is out, and I've got to say I'm somewhat disappointed. First of all, it's $1.99, but for me it's a must-have nonetheless. The two big disappointments I have with it: (1) you can't simply sign in to your Ratebeer account and have access to all your previous online reviews, wish lists, etc.; (2) many of the features actually do nothing more than launch Ratebeer.com through Safari. I could have done that myself without the fucking app. Hopefully they'll make improvements.

Also recently added Dragondictation, which is good for composing emails and long text messages, especially while you're driving (:paranoid:).

Watched a friend make a phone call from an iTouch music player today!
She had downloaded Skype to her iTouch and it worked just like a phone
(but using an Internet connection). Amazing!

It can make calls where AT&T's (T) signal is weak, like indoors. It can turn an iPod Touch into a full-blown cellphone.
And it can ruin the sleep of cellphone executives everywhere.

Top 100s by Year. Every song from billboard's top 100 from 1947 t0 2009. Free for now and sponsored by Bing. Only downfall is bing commercial comes up frequently between songs and you have to skip through it. Plus all songs are in shuffle mode only.

My favorites so far:

Paper Football (AWESOME may be my favorite)
ESPN ScoreCenter
Differences (Find the differences between 2 pics in a certain time limit, aka like the game at the bar)
Glow Hockey
Simon Classic
5-0 Radio (Police Radio, awesome)

I bought RedLaser after hearing reviews on here...I'm a little confused. Does it have local results or are they all web prices??

Does anybody have a recommendation for an inexpensive GPS navigation app? I'd prefer not to pay $60 for TomTom, and I'd also prefer not to have to subscribe to something on a quarterly or yearly basis. I just want to pay for the app once and be done with it - and get something that works halfway decent.

For the golfers out there I highly recommend getting GolfShot. It is a GPS app for your phone. My first round of the year I played with two guys who used it and swore by it, so I decided to pick it up. I played Harborside yesterday and it worked like a charm. It gives distances to all bunkers, carry distances and then to the front, center and back of each green. I think it was 24.99.
